Grape seed vegetable oil

Vitis vinifera seed oil. 

Characteristic

Grape oil has excellent slipperiness and is well absorbable oil. Grape seed oil softens, repairs, optimizes production of skin’s own fat. After application leave no stickiness feeling. Grape seed oil is used to dilute thick basis for sports massage where the emphasis is on speed and pressure of each touch.

Physical properties

A light yellow, oily liquid. Relative density at +20° C: approx. 0.921 g per cm³.

Basic constituent parts

Unsaturated fatty acids – the main ingredients are linoleic acid (C 18:2) at approximately 72%, and oleic acid (C 18:1) at approximately 17%. Also contains vitamins A and E.

Properties & use

The oil is thin and is therefore suitable to thin denser oils. Easily absorbed. Softens the skin. Leaves no feeling of stickiness. Has good „slipperiness”. Suitable as a carrier of active substances in the preparation of massage agents and for sports massage. On its own, also intended for use on normal to oily skin.

Contraindications

There is the possibility of individual intolerance to this vegetable oil.
