Characteristic
Avocado vegetable oil is rich in unsaponifiable constituents and vitamin E, has a natural UV factor of 2-4. Avocado oil is well absorbed, protects skin from roughening and drying in the cold and other adverse effects of ambient environment, regenerates and softens hardened tissue, relaxes muscles.
Physical properties
A yellowy-green, oily liquid with a characteristic pleasant aroma.
Setting point
Approx. +8° C, relative density at +20° C: approx. 0.915 g per cm3.
Basic constituent parts
Unsaturated fatty acids – the main ingredients are oleic acid (C 18:1) at approximately 56%, palmitic acid (C 16:0) at approximately 20%, linoleic acid (C 18:2) at approximately 13%, palmitoleic acid (C 16:1) at approximately 10%, and linolenic acid (C 18:3) at approximately 1%. Also contains vitamins A, B, D, and E, carotenoids, phytosterols, and lecithin.
Properties
Regenerative qualities. Protects the skin from drying and roughening during frost and other unfavourable environmental conditions. Helps regenerate and soften hardened and unsupple tissue thanks to the high concentration of non-saponifying elements. One of the denser and harder oils. The pure oil has a natural UV factor of 2 – 4.
Use
On dry, sensitive, inflamed, or rough skin. Used in regenerative and massage preparations. Loosens musculature. Used in preparations for the feet – softens and smoothens hard heels. Suitable for the preparation of skin masks. The high concentration of vitamin E predetermines its use as a natural stabilizing agent in cosmetic preparations.
Contraindications
There is the possibility of individual intolerance to this vegetable oil.
